Overview

Performs statistical and accounting duties for CentraState Medical Center.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains daily activity of cash receipts, transfer of funds from insurance providers and other banking reports and information.
  • Prepares analysis of all cash accounts, communicates with other departments to resolve discrepancies, and ensures that monthly journal entries are recorded properly. 
  • Prepares and maintains all monthly information and supporting schedules. 
  • Prepares accurate bank reconciliations by investigating and resolving discrepancies for various accounts within the System.
  • Ensures journal entries are posted to general ledger timely and accurately.
  • Maintains and prepares the monthly intercompany reconciliation schedules for all entities in the system. 
  • Prepares accurate monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP and within the necessary time limit.
  • Accurarately preapres and files Annual Report online for all properties owned by Centrastate Healthcare System within the necessary time limits.
  • Prepares accurate analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts for proper reconciliations. 
  • Ensures accurate collection procedures of tenant receivables pertaining to all rental properties associated with Centrastate Healthcare System.
  • Assists in annual budget preparation for Centrastate Medical Center and other entities. 
  • Prepares audit schedules in accordance wiht external audit time limits and provides auditors with necessary supporting schedules. 
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly reports to NJDOH in accordance with financial reporting schedules deadlines. 
  • Coordinates all financial computer systems and reporting. Implements monthly limited closings on financial systems for General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, etc. interfaces. 
  • Assists the Controller and Vice President of Finance with special projects as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

 

Work Experience:

Five (5) years of accounting in a healthcare facility is required.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team.
