E-mail Recruitment Team


  • Current knowledge of coding clinics and other guidelines
  • Coordinate coding educational needs
  • Perform coding quality audits, create benchmarks, evaluate coding vulnerabilities and make recommendations 
  • Perform scheduled and non scheduled coding audits on: coders, payers, DRGs, physicians and Non-DRG coding impacts
  • Responsible for DRG denials evaluation and follow up from Denials Management
  • Monitor coding productivity on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Responsible for developing coding policies, documentation policies to ensure HIM compliance with OIG, CMS and hospital policies
  • Schedule, coordinate, assign and evaluate external resources for coding
  • Collaboration with Clinical Documentation Integrity Manager and Nurses
  • Reconciliation and evaluation of final DRG selections with CDI
  • Responsible for coding accuracy of all 2nd level reviews – Hospital Acquired Conditions, Patient Safety Indicators and other hospital based initiatives
  • Works in collaboration with Patient Financial Services
  • Oversees and is responsible for unbilled accounts for inpatient and outpatient services
  • Works in collaboration with the Coding Coordinator to complete daily task assignments


  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred.
  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required.
  • Must have at least 3 years of managerial experience in an acute care setting.
  • Must have at least 5 years experience as a Certified Coding Specialist.

Sitting; typing; filing; reaching at waist.
